General Therapy
Whether you are seeking a psychological evaluation or you wish to engage in therapy, psychological intervention involves a commitment of time, money, and energy that can have benefits and risks. The benefits of therapy could lead to better relationships, solutions to specific problems, significant reduction of distress, and symptom reduction.
Since therapy may involve discussing unpleasant aspects of your life, you may experience uncomfortable feelings from time to time. There are no certainties with regard to what your particular experience will be, but Dr. Campbell is trained to serve as a guide in your journey toward wellness in a safe and supportive environment. Your active participation in the process is essential to reaching your goals.
Dr. Campbell has experience with a culturally and economically diverse population of clients. There are several types of therapeutic modalities offered by Dr. Campbell. She will advise you as to the best modality to address the problems or concerns that you face. Children between the ages of six and ten typically participate in play therapy. This therapeutic modality is conducted in a play therapy room that is conducive to the explorations and activities of children. Family therapy is also typically a part of the therapy with children as a combination of the two help children resolve their problems faster. Dr. Campbell also offers individual therapy and pre-marital counseling.
